Welcome!
An online destination featuring a community of interesting, creative, inspiring and REAL humans who also happen to be moms.
Hi! We’re so glad you’re here. We’re Zoe* and Maria**, dear friends and moms who met in the throes of early motherhood with our firsts. We were introduced by a friend when one of us was looking for a pediatrician and as they say, the rest is history.
In those early first tender days of motherhood, it was critical to both of us to find someone to connect with, to share in the triumphs and the lowww lows. To celebrate, normalize, encourage, commiserate. The honest conversations about the beauty and brutality of motherhood has felt largely missing from the mainstream. In an effort to change that, and help other moms feel a little less alone in all of this, we are creating Your Mom Friends. A series of interviews featuring moms talking about the real stuff we all want to *actually* talk and hear about.
If you’re anything like us, you had no idea how important - VITAL, even - a mom friend and community was before you became a mom. Maybe you prioritized the baby registry, the feed/sleep schedule or the birth plan. But when it happens (motherhood, that is), it becomes so clear that this red thread tying us together is the same thread that keeps us together. Your mom friends are always going to keep it real with you, offer inspiration, or guidance, etc. This is your community. This is who you turn to when you’re feeling isolated or drowning in the chaos of “balancing it all”.
This is a space for moms of all kinds and at all stages - new moms, mom curious, seasoned moms, and anyone who is looking for a bit of inspiration and reassurance that we’re all going through the same thing. Our goal is to connect us all and to provide a platform that makes moms feel a little less weird and alone!
What this is not: a review of the Snoo. This isn’t sleep training advice or a craft idea. We don’t care about baby led weaning vs. purees. This isn’t the highlight reel of mothering that may be presented to you on instagram.
What this is: an interview series featuring a community of interesting, creative, inspiring and REAL humans who also happen to be moms.
Hopefully we can offer connection, resonance, even some laughs?
Here’s what you can expect our weekly posts:
Interviews with real moms, sharing their experiences, stories, honest truths, and tips for how they get through the day
Round-ups of things we’re discussing in our text threads
Recipes for things that are easy to make that our kids will actually eat
Anything we’re missing? We want this to mean as much to you as it does to us! Click here to let us know what you want to read about or to suggest a mom we should feature !
If all or any of that sounds like something you’re into, hit subscribe!
And with that, buckle up for our first mom interviews.
